Thank you to all who participated in and supported this year's Quest for a Cure Walkathon "Virtual Edition." With your help, we raised $32,000 for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust!

This year represents the 11th annual Michigan Quest for a Cure Walkathon to raise money for Rett Syndrome research and the Rett Syndrome Research Trust.

However, as you might have noticed, things are a bit different this year. And, as is so often the case, our daughters face increased risks and complications from the virus.

So instead of gathering everyone together, this year we've decided to do a virtual walkathon!

We're asking you to do three things:

On Sunday, September 27, 2020 (or before if you're not available that day), take a walk, or just spend some time outdoors. While you're outside, please give some thought to our girls, and all of the children with Rett Syndrome. Remember that they would love to go for a nice walk, but they either can't walk, or can only do so with agonizing effort. On this occasion, you will be walking for them.

While you're outside, please take a photo or video. Any photo will do -- a selfie with your phone is great! On or before Sunday, September 27, 2020, please post your photo to our Facebook page, and include the hashtag #2020rettquestforacure. If you're on Instagram, Twitter, or other social media, post your photo or video there as well -- just remember to use the same hashtag! We'll also collect all of the photos and post them here on September 27.

On or before Sunday, September 27, 2020, please submit a donation in support of the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. You can donate online or by mail. Please visit this page, or click the button below.
